About Me

Shayna Gentiluomo is an artist, organizer, and creative coder. She received a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts with a concentration in painting and printmaking.

Shayna has organized many art/tech events in New York, including Art Hack Day: Deluge at Pioneer Works. Since 2016, she is a Community Manager for Hackaday, representing Hackaday on the east coast and coordinating all aspects of New York City event programming, as well as performing as Master of Ceremonies.

She was an Assistant to the Senior Curator at The Museum of Modern Art, providing support for exhibitions and initiatives such as Talk to Me: Design and the Communication Between People and Objects and the R&D Salon series.

Shayna especially enjoys hiking, gardening, and birds (especially the patients at the Wild Bird Fund, where she volunteers).

She is also learning to code, steadily making her way through the exercises at Free Code Camp. This website catalogues her recent efforts throughout this journey.
